Setting up a mail client

The details you enter into Outlook, Thunderbird or your phone so that mail comes in and goes out.

You can read your mailbox in webmail or in a mail client on your computer and phone. The client needs to know where to connect — you will find the exact details for your domain in the client portal.

Where to find the details

  1. Sign in to the client portal.
  2. Open your domain and go to Mail.
  3. The Mail client setup section lists server names and ports. Each value can be copied with the button next to it.

What to enter

  • Username: the full e-mail address, for example name@yourdomain.sk.
  • Password: the mailbox password.
  • Incoming mail server: the name from the portal, port 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3.
  • Outgoing mail server: the name from the portal, port 465.
  • Security: SSL/TLS for both incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Authentication for sending: enabled, with the same username and password as for receiving.

IMAP or POP3

We recommend IMAP. Mail stays on the server, so you see the same messages on your computer, your phone and in webmail. POP3 downloads messages to one device and you will not see them on the others.

If it does not work

  • Check that the username is the full address including the part after the at sign.
  • Sending requires authentication and port 465 with SSL/TLS. The server does not accept unsecured sending.
  • If you forgot the password, set a new one in the portal next to the mailbox — the old one cannot be displayed.
